Elizabeth Gillies

Gillies' acting career began at the age of 12, at which point she began attending open casting auditions in her local area. Her acting career began at a young age after she started going to public casting events in the area. Gillies appeared in the role of a frequent guest for the show The Black Donnellys over three episodes. Gillies' statement states that she wasn't allowed to view the entire show in its entirety because her parents felt it was not suitable for her at that time. [citation needed] In 2008 she was cast in minor roles in the show The Clique, Harold, and Locker 514. She was cast during this summer's season to play Lucy along with Ariana Grande, who was her co-star from Victorious as part of Jason Robert Brown's musical 13. In the following year, 13 moved to Broadway and became an unprecedented Broadway production to feature an ensemble and cast entirely consisting of teenagers. Her biggest two numbers, "Opportunity", and "It could not be real", were followed by smaller roles in numbers such as "Hey Kendra", "Getting Ready" as well as the song that was to be her title. Gillies was part of the show until the end of January 4th on the 4th of January 2009.
